I've been building websites since the early 2000s, when I left art school with student loans to repay. Back then, I felt like a young Isabella Bird exploring the new terrain of the World Wide Web. I was playfully making animations in Flash and building websites as self-directed stories in which readers could change the narrative course through link selection. Fast forward over twenty years in and around web development, and I have gained experience in front-end and back-end development, UX and UI design, database architecture, subscription-based systems, payment systems, and project management. From the ground up, I have created complex websites with subscription-based paywalls and administrative user interfaces. For eleven years, I worked for the independent publishers of Artforum, Bookforum, and Artforum China 艺术论坛. During my tenure at this organization, I built and maintained the magazine’s websites, as well as the magazine's online subscription services, their custom publishing software, and an interactive gallery guide with a public-facing administration system.

As a creative individual who enjoys problem solving and collaborating, I enjoy seeing a project through from inception to completion. The programmatic languages that I focus on are PHP, Javascript, SQL, CSS, and HTML.
